Self Blue Split Amerucauna hatching eggs 1dz
It was developed in the United States in the 1970s, and derives from Araucana chickens brought from Chile. It was bred to retain the blue-egg gene but eliminate the lethal alleles of the parent birds. Amerucaunas slate legs and have big fluffy beards and pea combs. They are known to be friendly as docile making great pets. Amerucaunas can lay up to 200 blue to green tinted eggs per year. Ameruacanas are in the All Other Standard Breeds class of the American Poultry Associaiton.
